After putting off the remake of our outdated landscape lights that the previous owner had installed in our home, I started the process of finding a reputable landscape lighting company that would do the work. I actually called 4 lighting contractors and only 2 came out to give me a quote (even though all four had scheduled appointments with me), and only one was on time. That one person was Todd Meyer with North Star. We started the process by looking at my current system and we then determined what type of lighting and where the lights should go. Todd had great input in this area, which is helpful since I am not a landscape lighting designer. The next step was to choose the type of lights and then Todd worked up a quote. He was very clear on what would be done and how it was done. I got the quote and compared it to the other company I was considering and decided to go with Todd based on meeting with him and being comfortable with what he proposed. The work was completed in a day and the house looks great. We do live in a pretty nice neighborhood and now our house really fits in nicely with the other houses that have high quality landscape lighting. Todd came back that night and adjusted the lights and made sure I was happy with how everything was set up. I would recommend Todd and his crew on just the basis of quality work, honesty and his design input. He didn't try and upsell me on things that I did not need, and I appreciated that.
